About SEPTA Bus Tracker
How it works:
Stop order and scheduled travel times come from SEPTA's official GTFS schedule data
Real-time bus positions are fetched from SEPTA's TransitView API every 30 seconds
Arrival times use the scheduled time between the bus's next stop and your stop, adjusted for the current time of day (morning rush, midday, afternoon rush, night, overnight)
Only buses that have not yet passed your stop are shown
Features:
Map view — toggle with the map button to see approaching buses plotted on a live route diagram
Bus occupancy indicators (seats available, standing room, etc.)
Active detour notifications with detailed routing information
Route history for quick access to your frequent stops
FAQ:
This app collects no data from you whatsoever
Saved routes are stored on your device; clearing browser storage will remove them
If no buses appear, they may not currently be running or all buses may have already passed your stop
A bus marked "X min late" is behind its scheduled position; arrival estimates use the schedule and do not adjust for lateness
